Mr. Ehle’s criminal defense practice includes representation at all levels of the judicial process, including state courts of appeal and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is widely respected within the legal community for his courtroom skill, professionalism, and dedication to the practice of law. Most recently, he served as President of the Jefferson Bar Association, reflecting the trust and confidence placed in him by his peers.

Mr. Ehle began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for Jefferson Parish and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in 1993. In that same year, he served as the director and author of the Louisiana Crime Laboratory Study, a comprehensive analysis comparing crime laboratories in Louisiana, Virginia, and Florida, with recommendations to improve efficiency and coordination between laboratories and prosecuting agencies. In recognition of his contributions to the legal profession, the Louisiana Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers nominated him for the prestigious Blackstone’s Order Award in 2013.

Mr. Ehle earned his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and his law degree from Mississippi College School of Law. He and Joe Marino have taught multiple Continuing Legal Education courses for the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Solo and Small Practitioner Seminar Series. Mr. Ehle is also a certified instructor at the Gretna Police Academy, an active member of the Jefferson Bar Association, and a board member of the Westbank Boys & Girls Club.
